Autumn Has Arrived, and Everything Feels Right

Autumn Has Arrived, and Everything Feels Right

There are some times of year that just feel like you.

For me, that has always been autumn.

Give me crisp mornings, darker evenings, cosy jumpers, candles, Halloween, crunchy leaves and an unreasonable amount of pumpkin-themed everything, and I'm happy.

So it's probably no surprise that I put so much love into the autumn and Halloween collections.

My favourite time of year 🎃

Autumn and Halloween have always been favourites of mine.

There's something about this time of year that feels magical.

The colours.
The atmosphere.
The cosiness.
The spooky season.
The excuse to make everything slightly more Halloween-themed than is probably necessary.

When I start designing my autumn collections, I don't just think about what will sell.

I make things that I genuinely love.

I get excited about the fabrics, the colours, the little details and seeing an idea in my head finally become something I can hold in my hands.

And this year, I've really thrown myself into it.

The best part? You love it too.

One of the loveliest things about running a small business is discovering that the things you love aren't just your things.

Seeing people get excited about my autumn and Halloween products has honestly made me so happy.

When something I've created because I love autumn ends up in someone else's home, or someone buys a Halloween accessory for their dog because they love the season as much as I do, it feels pretty special.

It's like finding your people.

And judging by the response to this year's collection, there are a LOT of us who are ready for spooky season.

A birthday, a new season and lots to be grateful for 🤎

I also had my birthday last weekend, and I have been completely spoilt.

I feel very lucky to have had such a lovely birthday and to have been surrounded by so much love.

And perhaps it's the combination of a birthday, the changing season and everything that's happening with the business, but I've found myself feeling particularly grateful lately.

Grateful for the people around me.

Grateful for this little business that continues to grow.

Grateful for everyone who supports what I make.

And grateful that I get to spend my days creating things that I'm genuinely passionate about.

The autumn equinox has arrived 🍂

The autumn equinox has been and gone, and somehow everything just feels very… right.

The nights are getting darker.

The air is getting colder.

The leaves are changing.

Halloween is getting closer.

And I'm surrounded by autumn colours, Christmas planning and approximately 400 things on my small-business to-do list.

It feels like we're properly entering a new season.

And after everything that's happened this year, it feels like I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be.

Maybe that's the magic of autumn.

It's a season of change, but there's something comforting about it too.

A reminder that change doesn't always mean something is ending.

Sometimes it's simply the beginning of something new.

So here's to autumn.

To Halloween.

To cosy evenings, creative chaos and doing what you love.

And to everyone who has shared my ridiculous love of this season with me.

Thank you for loving it as much as I do. 🧡

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to put the Halloween decorations up and pretend I haven't already started thinking about Christmas.

Happy autumn, everyone. 🍂🎃
