Finding Home in Cornwall: Following My Heart

Sometimes in life, you reach a point where you just know it’s time for a change.

For us, that change is moving to Cornwall.

It still feels a little surreal to say that out loud. Cornwall has been somewhere we have loved for so long — somewhere that feels different the moment we arrive. The sea air, the dramatic coastline, the little villages, the slower pace and that unmistakable feeling of being completely at peace.

And now, we get to call it home.

My roots will always be in Suffolk

Suffolk will always be a huge part of who I am.

It’s where my roots are. It’s where so many memories have been made, where my businesses have grown and where so many wonderful people have supported me along the way.

I’ll always have a huge amount of love for Suffolk, and moving away doesn’t change that.

You can leave somewhere without leaving behind everything it has given you.

Suffolk will always be home in a way — but sometimes your heart starts asking for something different.

And right now, mine is craving Cornish air.

The pull of Cornwall 🌊

There’s something about Cornwall that is difficult to put into words.

Maybe it’s standing beside the ocean and feeling completely tiny.

Maybe it’s the sound of the waves, the salty air and the wind in your hair.

Maybe it’s the feeling of being able to breathe a little deeper.

Or maybe it’s simply that feeling you get when somewhere makes you think, “I could be happy here.”

Every time we visit Cornwall, there’s that little part of us that doesn’t want to leave.

So eventually, we decided to stop wishing we could stay and actually make the move.

A new chapter

Moving is exciting, terrifying, emotional and chaotic all at once.

There are boxes to pack, things to organise, plans to make and approximately a million little jobs that somehow appear out of nowhere.

But underneath all of that is something really special.

Excitement.

Excitement for waking up somewhere we love.

Excitement for exploring new places, finding our favourite beaches and discovering little Cornish gems.

Excitement for creating new memories and building a life that feels right for us.

And, of course, excitement for seeing what this new chapter means for my businesses too.

Because wherever I am, I’ll always be creating.

From Suffolk to Cornwall

This isn’t about leaving Suffolk behind.

It’s about taking everything I’ve built, everything I’ve learned and all the memories I’ve made with me — and starting the next chapter somewhere that my heart has been pulling me towards for a very long time.

My roots will always be in Suffolk.

But my heart is craving the Cornish air, the sound of the sea and the feeling of being exactly where I’m supposed to be.

So here’s to new beginnings.

To salty hair, sandy shoes, sea views and probably getting lost down tiny Cornish lanes.

Here’s to following your heart, even when it takes you somewhere completely unexpected.

And here’s to our next adventure.
