The End of Summer Shows: What a Season!

And just like that… summer market season is over.

This weekend marks my last summer show, and I honestly can't quite believe how quickly the season has gone.

It feels like only yesterday I was packing the car for the first event, wondering what the weather was going to throw at me and trying to work out how on earth I was going to fit everything into the van!

Now, after months of markets, early mornings, long days, unpacking and repacking, I’m officially calling time on the summer season.

And what a season it has been.

My biggest business year yet ❤️

I can genuinely say that this has been my biggest year in business so far.

The growth has been incredible, and I'm so proud of what Crafts with Lauren has become.

From new products and new ideas to launching Rupert & Co and CWL Accessories, there has been so much happening behind the scenes.

And getting to take the products out to markets and meet so many of you in person has been one of my favourite parts.

There is something completely different about seeing someone pick up something you've made, hearing what they think and then watching them walk away with it.

It's the kind of thing that reminds me exactly why I started doing this in the first place.

To everyone who has visited my stall, bought something, stopped for a chat, followed me online, recommended me to someone or simply said hello…

Thank you.

Small businesses don't get to have seasons like this without their customers.

Every sale, however big or small, genuinely makes a difference.

And seeing people coming back to events specifically looking for my stall is something I don't think I'll ever take for granted.

Now… Christmas! 🎄

Of course, I don't really get much time to sit down and relax.

Because as soon as the summer markets finish, my brain immediately moves onto:

CHRISTMAS.

And if you thought summer was busy, just wait.

The Christmas period is always a huge part of the small-business calendar, and I'm already planning, making, photographing, listing and generally trying to prepare for what I hope will be our biggest Christmas yet.

Both Rupert & Co and CWL Accessories have some really exciting festive products coming, and I genuinely cannot wait to share them with you.

There are lots of new designs.

Lots of old favourites.

Lots of gift ideas.

And, inevitably, lots of chaos.

From summer sunshine to Christmas chaos

So, for now, I'm saying goodbye to the summer shows.

I'm going to take a very brief moment to appreciate what an incredible season it has been before throwing myself headfirst into Christmas.

It's been exhausting.

It's been exciting.

It's been stressful.

It's been ridiculously busy.

But most importantly, it's been bloody brilliant.

Here's to the final summer show, an even bigger Christmas season and whatever comes next for Crafts with Lauren.
